All text generators

Twenty free Unicode tools, grouped by what they do. Everything runs in your browser — nothing is uploaded, nothing is stored, and there is no sign-up anywhere on this site.

No tool matches that search. Try “glitch”, “font” or “flip”.

Which tool do you need?

Want text that looks broken or possessed? Start with the Zalgo generator and use the slider. Glitch is the same engine tuned lighter and more technological; cursed is it turned up; creepy drips downward for Halloween.

Want a different-looking alphabet? The fancy text generator shows thirty-plus styles at once — the fastest way to find what you want. If you already know, go straight to cursive, gothic, bold or small caps.

Want to change the shape of the line rather than the letters? Try strikethrough, upside down, mirror, vaporwave or tiny text.

Need to undo something? Zalgo to normal text strips every combining mark and gives you clean text back.

How these tools work

None of them install a font. Two different mechanisms are at play. The Zalgo family adds zero-width Unicode combining marks on top of your letters, leaving the original characters intact. The fancy-font tools replace your letters with different Unicode characters that happen to be drawn in another style. That difference explains almost everything — why Zalgo can be perfectly undone and fancy fonts cannot, and why fancy fonts break search while strikethrough does not. The guides cover it properly.

Everything happens in your browser

There is no server-side processing anywhere on this site. Whatever you type into any of these tools stays on your device — it is never transmitted, logged or stored. That also means the tools keep working if your connection drops after the page has loaded.
